Figure Skating Photographs for Editorial Use

There are approximately half a million figure skating and ice dancing photographs available for purchase.

Digital photographs are available for the 2005-2006 through 2009-2010 seasons in JPEG format. All of these are displayed in the searchable database as unedited low resolution JPEG images for proof purposes.

Photographs on color and black-and-white film are available for the 1991-1992 through 2004-2005 seasons. A few of these photographs for popular skaters appear on the database as low resolution scans for proof purposes. Other images must be sent to a professional scanning firm to be converted to digital images.

Maximum size of digital images is 30x40 inches at 2700 dpi without special work by an outside lab. Images of 8x12 at 600 dpi can be supplied immediately.

Digital images scanned from film are usually 8x12 inches at 300 dpi but larger sizes are available. These scans are sent out and may take some time.

Please submit the photo numbers from the searchable database or SkateToday (see image file name), the dimensions in inches or centimeters, dots per inch (dpi), deadline, payment offered (your usual and customary fee), and contact person's email. If you require any special forms to be completed for payment other than an email invoice, they should be submitted with your request.

Images will be put in a special directory on www.jbmittan.com for you to download or can be sent by FTP.
